"Gonzalo Lira, Sr. says his son has died at 55 in a Ukrainian prison, where he was being held for the crime of criticizing the Zelensky and Biden governments," Carlson wrote on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter). He added that despite Lira’s American citizenship, the US administration "clearly supported his imprisonment and tOrTuRe."

An American YouTuber has been imprisoned for 5 years in Ukraine, and allegedly tortured, for making videos.
He was indeed arrested for what he said, which according to Ukrainian law is illegal since it supports and encourages RuZZia's invasion. It's not exactly free speech, but it isn't mere "criticism of Zelensky," either.
(Moreover, I've heard that Lira took videos of restricted areas and published them online without permission from the government, but I haven't seen any confirmation that his most recent arrest was related to that.)
What was the true cause of death anyway?
The true cause of death was pneumonia that couldn't be treated in time.
Now sure, if Lira wasn't imprisoned at the time, maybe he could have received timely medical care.
But he was stuck in a prison in Kharkiv, which is under CONSTANT shelling by RuZZia. And some of RuZZia's favorite targets are hospitals.
Hence it's understandable that the hospitals may not have had the capacity, much less the willingness, to treat a traitorous incel.
Moreover, Lira is known to be a heavy smoker, overweight, and very susceptible to pneumonia. Most of us would call those "comorbidity conditions," especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

By the way, Gonzalo Lira used to run a YouTube channel that advised incels on how to nail women. Pretty much his advice consisted of treating women like shit and doing anything but be the nice guy.
And he practiced what he preached, apparently. He moved to Ukraine, married a woman there who presumably was a submissive housewife, only to end up divorced and facing allegations of domestic violence, adultery, r@pe, and child abuse:
