I feel for you and the rest of my BC and Alberta friends. This is way too brutal. Although your temps are gonna warm up this next storm could in fact bring snow to your city as so much cold air will still be prevalent above 2,000 feet. Difficult to tell how much snow but could be substantial for the city. Lets hope not.
But as the week goes on you should see normal temps and rain.
I know Clone airlines are jammed up due to this. Its dangerous for the workers!

No way,I wouldn't wanna be a farmer in BC in fact I stopped farming on my property because the groundhogs discovered my garden several years ago. I'm an animal activist so I let them be,they win! They live outside not me :)
Listen we all have to hope that when this El Nino comes to an end during the spring that it allows the formation of a rainy pattern for Canada,puts the fires out and helps the farmers get back to normal. HOPE is the word !!!!
