<<not being an Election>>

Here is an interesting one, not came across it before. "Betfair"

The company allows you to bet for (or against) an outcome. Actually allows you to become part of the "Book" of liability in winning outcomes. In that case, if there is not an election, any stake bet on an individual will be retained.

Most of the money (it's not much yet) is bet AGAINST either Joe Biden or Donald Trump from winning.

I am still understanding how it works but I think the extra columns either side are people prepared to lay odds (bet against) at different multiples.

I mention Jamie Dimon as "Maverick of Wall Street" mentioned his chances in a humorous sort of way, but it's apparent he is tinkering with the idea. Being a financier, he would unlikely be troubled with the Primaries, and all that hard work, but would appear miraculously as a fast finishing horse out of nowhere I suspect.

But I have to consider the morale aspect of my gamble here. Would it be right to collect the winnings if such an occurrence took place? Jamie Dimon, President of the USA ?? I hesitate on the matter -g-

Same with laying a bet on "no election". Could be an easy win, but would you want the money in that case ?

and of course gambling can become an addiction, and one to be most cautious of.
