Most wind turbines are customized for their operating environment. Alaska has a number of them and they work very effectively in very, very low temps.

Such as electrical heating elements embedded into the leading edge of the composite airfoils to do deicing when necessary, automatically.

Just as how the leading edges in the wings and slats of the Boeing 787 are providing deicing.

More efficient and much simpler than using bleed air from the engines.
