Eric,
Have you ever done a road trip in a Tesla?
The most I've ever driven a Tesla was a couple of test drives around San Jose.

However, I own a plug-in hybrid. I know how much of a pain it is to find a (non-Tesla) charger.

Trying to expand out the charging network is incredibly difficult, much more than you make it out to be.

Even Tesla has problems trying to serve their own customers, as the snafu in Chicago already proved. And problems like Chicago aren't isolated.

And like I told pocotrader, the benefits of driving an EV just aren't there. No cost benefits and no performance benefits. Moving from a gas-powered vehicle to an EV is not an upgrade, but a sidegrade at best.

It's not like the transition away from horse and carriage, unlike what most of the EV zealots are claiming. And the free market is confirming this, as we see big automakers scaling back their plans to transition to 100% electric.
