Yeah thats another false claim from the Climate cult. Hurricane activity has actually decreased slightly over the last say 50 years. We get more damage from them because there is way more development right along the ocean than their used to be. The Climate cult tries to use damage and destruction levels but dont account for that. We saw that during Hurricane Sandy. There were two worse hurricanes back in the 1950's in the same area but much less damage due to much less development along the same coast.
