<< Send the tenner here, I'll book that bet for ya after all his bank is an actual felon -vbg- >>
Thank you for this kind offer of a financial service.
However, I must politely refuse, I feel it would be wrong for me to take a wad of money from an innocent lamb like yourself -g-
Joe Coral gave me a job when I really really needed a job in the 1970's. I was chucked out of college without a qualification, there was a recession on, and Joe helped me get back on my feet. Not only that, but I look back on those years with fondness. They taught me what the sharper end of financial business looked like. Later I managed to get back into college and get my qualifications. A few quid here and there donated to the bookies is OK.
So I have my bet running. £10, Jamie Dimon on the nose to win ! Joe gave me 500:1 and I am happy with the deal.
Should pay the electric utility bill for next year.
Sure, there is a remote possibility I may lose my bet, that stake money will keep one of the Corals executives Jag running for a few minutes, but that OK. I will complain "I was robbed" and they will laugh at me. It's an old routine. But really, it's still a win. There may be some consolation in Jimmy Dimon not getting to be President of the USA in some diffuse ethereal way? I don't know.
What I am looking for now, maybe for another fiver or so, is the forecast: First (President) and second (VP).
I'm thinking Trump/Dimon reversed forecast in case its Dimon/Trump. Unlikely I know, Donald being who he is personality wise.
I am going to make enquiries. That could be a real winner, well for me, no so sure about the row.
I doubt the modern Corals co have much running at J.P Morgan. Too much common sense. I did watch a TV program many years later, about the UK betting business, and Corals now do hire professional gamblers both to lay off and make bets on behalf of the company. That is a definite change. |
