A friend of mine was in a Tesla that got challenged at Springbank Airport heading to Calgary. The Tesla easily blew the doors off the Dodge Challenger and then had to limp back to the airport to charge up again as that one burst of speed totally drained the battery. Last year a tourist way up north had a frozen diesel truck, his host got a big fire going and shoveled all the embers under the motor and put a tarp over the front end. 30 minutes later the diesel was heading home, with a new cardboard cover in the grill. A lot of problems happen to diesel trucks when the DEF fluid container is 100% full and freezes. Driving between Reno and Sacramento I always think of the Donner Party....
