Ref Ev's. Looking at it from the typical owners pov, there are reliability issues that need looking into. Especially running out of power. A hand carry solution that can be left in the luggage would be ideal, and also sold at local gas (charging) stations. The utility power here is now good. It wasn't a tree, my prejudice against overhead power lines is unfounded in this case, as the power is on. All the tress must be behaving themselves with the wind really whipping past. My only concern was the freezers. I make a lot of my own food in batches (production engineering habits I guess -g-) and I was monitoring how the temperatures where holding. Could have managed a while longer. The generator repair has moved up a number of places on the priority list. I got a reminder I guess. Apart from the freezers though, we could get by here for ages without power.
