You are still producing the same amount of CO2 from that lump of coal.. All you did is increase the delta T of the process thus increasing the efficiency of what we call a "supercritical" coal fired power plant which is around 50%. The carbon in the coal can't disappear! Elementary chemistry. A kid taking chem in high school would understand.
