The problem for most nuke development in the west is that engineering and construction talent has pretty much retired. And it's not coming back because of much, much cheaper and sustainable renewables. You will never see a reactor in every backyard! Or any backyard for that matter. Just too many failure modes that we have discovered over time. The idea of "too cheap to meter" went out the window many decades ago.
