Lots of discussion on oxygen saturation recently. Just so people know, an oxygen saturation doesn't translate to a direct number of the oxygen level in the blood or pO2. While the saturation level is important, trends can also be important, maybe even more so. We would sometimes need to use several different probes before we could get an adequate reading. Also, if you have 100% oxygen saturation, your oxygen levels could be normal to extremely high.
