Body scans?

Anyone here had a "body scan" lately? I've had a number of issues pop up lately and it's taking forever to get them addressed through Medicare, so I'm going to get the ball rolling outside the system, maybe with a full-body MRI. I've started online research, of course, and I know there’s been comment here in the past about body scanning (LindyBill swore by scanning), but it would be good to hear from anyone here who's got a pointer about the current state of affairs in body scans.
