Apparently prep for the MRI is the same in all (?) cases

A lot depends on which part of the body is being scanned. For my brain MRIs they put my head in a cradle and strap my head into it. They don't care what I do with the rest of my body. It also matters if the machine is an older or newer model. Some of the newer machines are designed to reduce discomfort for the patient. And some MRI teams are better than others.
