I don't know if the effects of vit K supplements are well known. I read that over 75% of vit K is produced naturally in our gut from microbial and bacterial action. Does vit K supplements raise blood levels, or is it like eating cholesterol, it doesn't raise our cholesterol levels? I don't know, the interactions are too complicated to me.

I read the rec'd need is around 100 micrograms/day, but I feel that's just a rough guess, so I figure I'm getting that in my diet, daily 2 fried eggs runny yoke, a table spoon of olive oil, lots of chicken and a variety of veggies, butter on my rye toast, lots of skim milk. I do take around 10k vit D in the fall/winter months, which is probably only a maintenance dose.

Mind you I've never had my blood tested as others on this thread have done, nor the artery scans, it's not free in my country so don't listen to me :)

Thx.
