I agree with you, 600 D is way too little.

A typical summer day we make 10's of thousands IU of vit D as you know depending on sun exposure, and assuming our bodies make a consistent amount of vit K year round, if we assume basically the same diet summer or winter, then it shouldn't be necessary to take K supplements if we take D supplements during the winter imho.

You could be right about K2. I don't know. Our body makes most of what it needs apparently, so perhaps it makes more K2 when we produce more vit D regardless in sunlight or through supplements? It's just a thought. I'm sure vit K supplements are not harmful.

I guess my point is we don't take K supplements in summer time, when we're making alot of vit D (say 10-20 thousand) so why would we need to take it in the winter if we're taking similar 10-20 thousand D supplements to mimic sun exposure? So I'm guessing our body makes what vit K it needs depending on the amount of D it produces. Probably beyond my pay grade though ;)
