I might start a Medicare Subject on SI one of these days. Medicare is trying to push everyone into Advantage plans.
I believe the Advantage plans are an attempt to have a "game manager quarterback" for our health care. In large population centers, they seem to eliminate some of the waste lost to duplication by getting us into Kaiser like HMO plans.

Eventually, I'd like to see the money go directly to medical centers that get to keep more of the money by keeping us healthy rather than charging the government via Medicare for expensive procedures to fix things much cheaper to fix if caught early.
