I take the capsules on an empty stomach (both D and K2s) on those days because they contain a small amount of oil. I recently realized that the D3 I've been taking has soy oil. I'm looking for another brand.
If D (and the Ks) don't affect sleep like I thought, I'm going to try taking it with dinner. When I used to take a multivitamin, it would keep me awake. I think it was the B vitamins. Now I take my Bs early in the day.
I don't know if an ionophore is needed or useful otherwise, but whenever I take zinc I still take it with Quercitin. So do I, as part of my daily "core" supplements. I take the Solgar brand, which comes with bromelain.
My core supps are built around the Dr. Davis "Wheat Belly" anti-plaque protocol:
D3, K2, fish oil, and kelp tablets to make sure I'm getting enough iodine to support the thyroid.
Plus zinc, C, and Quercitin against colds and such.
The rest is CoQ10, a B complex, and a homemade formula of electrolytes (magnesium, salt, potassium) that I take every morning.
Aside from the core supps, I have secondary supps that I experiment with: NAC, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Beta Glucan, a variety of prostate treatments that don't seem to help, some nootropics, and the list goes on. |
