Belle is a yellow Lab She is a year and a half old, and she is absolutely certain that the fire station a half mile from our house is actually the home of a pack of wolves. I know this because she tries to communicate with them in that ancient lupine tongue. She prefers to do this between midnight and sunrise. I try to explain to her that there are no wolves around, but she won't hear of that. She also seems to believe that my 2 1/2 year old son, Joshua is actually an exceptionally well designed toy, whose purpose is to be run over. Believe it or not, Josh mostly agrees with the game's premise. Belle usually wins. Landscape renovations seem to be another of Belle's major pursuits. She can move earth more effectively than any of the guys widening Interstate 30, nearby. The only plant she can't seem to kill are the Red-tipped Photinia that are apparently Belle proof. Oh, one more thing. She is the Queen of the neighborhood dogs. My 5 year old daughter who named her after the beauty in "Beauty and the Beast" told me so. JonK
