NYCB... and VLY...
Wheels came off NYCB... and VLY dropped in sympathy... if recovering a bit as the day wears on...
Worth noting the options tables... and, not just the big moves in the short term... but the even bigger moves in the longer term, in far out of the money options...
And... then... ? As the two issues show... the "stability" they had in trading until recently... doesn't mean they're not going to be going to zero within a couple of months... as others implode... and the economy contracts... and, particularly, as the CRE market suddenly goes critical... and wipes out collateral.
So... went to FinViz and called up a list of regional banks... sorted them by Current Ratio, worst first... and then looked at the market cap > $1B, and a quick look at the charts... and came up with a list to sort through and check the options trading... when I have a bit more time...
