We agree for once. I have been an anti-clea-rcutting activists, particularly of old growth areas, for more than 50 years.

This kind of clear-cutting has been around since before I got involved -- you can actually see a few of the clear-cuts from space --but it is only recently that the intensity and frequency of heavy rain events has accelerated enough to fully reveal this aspect of the problems caused by it.

So far the flooding is limited to areas north of Whistler, but there is much more rain and warm temperatures to come, though we are now expecting a sunny weekend.
