I've not had many problems with floaters. The last time I did was 35-40 years ago when I suddenly saw a bright crescent-shaped rainbow in one of my eyes that remained just as brilliant when I shut it. It freaked me out.

Fortunately a friend of mine was an eye doctor who I was able to see in a couple of hours. By then it had faded.

It created some noticeable floaters that lasted for quite a long time, but they eventually either broke into small translucent pieces or just faded. I don't see them anymore.

Have you tried a proteolytic enzyme like bromelain or papain?
