To all FYI: African Mining Bulletin (12/2/98) has a small blurb on SUF starting to mine at the Sugarbird blow (similar to prev PR). "Pit preparation is to start next week at SouthernEra Resources 100%-owned Sugarbird kimberlite blow (small pipe) in South Africa's Northern Province, after the company received authorisation to mine. The blow is said to contain about 75,000t of kimberlite material grading about 1.57 c/t to a depth of 60 m. Preliminary valuation on a small parcel indicates a value of at least US$85 per carat."
