Have been in Shenzhen for the past 10 days, more or less, do not remember exactly, and snacking on oranges

Shall at some point coming week go to HK to come up for air for a day to get some errands done but not during Chinese Lunar New Year, am fairly certain.

Might remain here until end-February.

All very interesting, and in alignment with hyper super ultra macro geopolitical but am under NDA.

Shall have first inkling of which way the wind blows this coming week possibly as soon as tonight (Monday) fingers crossed

In the meantime, unrelated to what am doing but appropriate to the occasion, make the observation that Team America has no business to compete with Team China on one more item, akin to harbour cranes, TikTok's, cars, rockets, jet fighters, battleships, stratagems, manufacturing anything, philosophy anything else, food culture, and soon enough chips chips chips, and, or course, obvious to the most casual of passing observers, agriculture anything citrus

The California and Florida fruits cannot compare against the stuff grown here, according to some Team USA expert. The stuff grown here, somewhere, is (i) equally-shapely, (ii) just as well-protected by thick skin, (iii) much easier to hand-peal in one smooth motion in one piece of skin, (iv) way wonderfully juicy, and (v) quite a bit sweeter, comparatively

Given so, it might be the case that Florida and California to either exit the orange business, or steal Team China know-how. A guess, unless something changes, Trump’s Florida shall soon cease to worry about frost effects on citrus. The US expert says Team USA simply got too comfortable and slacked off on improving the citrus.

Unclear to me where Team USA and China situated on banana production - possibly both Teams import, and eventually shall getting into an inflationary bidding war.

In any case, back to oranges … the way the articles are written says some true worries surfacing albeit way late

I am no expert but can attest to shape, skin integrity, peal-ability, juice, and sweetness
