OTC BB FTEL For Immediate Release: October 11, 1996

FRANKLIN BOOKS SIX FIGURE SALE TO REVCO DRUGS.

Westlake Village, CA.> Franklin Telecom of Westlake Village, California
announced today that it has received an order for the Franklin Asynchronous
Communications Co-Processor System (ACP) from Revco Drugs. Revco, the
nation's second largest drugstore retailer, has headquarters in Twinsburg,
Ohio. They operate 2100 stores in 14 Midwestern, Eastern and Southeastern
states.

According to Franklin's Sales Manager Alan London, "Revco is one of
Franklin's long-term customers. We've been doing business with them for
ten years and it's always a pleasure. They keep growing . . . and we've
been fortunate to play a part in their expansion."

Frank Peters, Franklin's president and CEO adds, "I have a soft spot for
Revco and the ACP product line. The ACP allows the customer to install the
product into an in-store PC; the local store can then establish a 64kb X.25
permanent virtual circuit to corporate HQ while operating 7 asynchronous
devices (like printers and terminals) at the local site. Since the ACP is a
full computer with on board memory and a CPU you get true Multi Processing
so it gets off the computer bus and returns control to the operator just as
though it is not there. The ACP could fit into any PC turning it into a high
speed communications controller while not interfering with the PC."

Peters continued, "These days, we get caught up with our newest, more
glamorous high-tech products (which, by the way, are terrific!) and
meanwhile, the ACP, which has been in service for 8 years, just keeps going
and going. There's still nothing to top it. We have several customers,
like Revco, who know they've got a good thing and keep coming back for more!"

Franklin intends to launch a marketing campaign this winter to feature
additional applications for the ACP. It has tremendous possibilities for
any business needing real-time communications between a corporate
headquarters and remote site, such as retailers, insurance companies, health
care agencies, etc.
