Like I was saying before, Europe was re-divided by empires multiple times, Ukraine was once a part of Polish Lithuanian commonwealth. Now that they want better life for themselves they want to realign their history with Poland and Lithuania, now prosperous EU countries. Poland and Lithuania are doing better than Russia because of all the help from EU. Ukrainians hate Putin and the Russians because they shoot them, not Albert Einstein type of thought -g- Similarly, Putin shoots the relatives of those Russians with Ukrainian roots, so they hate Putin. It’s about who is shooting who, NATO membership is not so important to these folks whose relatives and sons are getting killed.
