(i) The supposed bad actors trying to trick the people into not saving the Planet by Reducing CO2 emissions.

or

(ii) The supposed bad actors trying to trick most people into starving themselves to death and taking all their assets. The remaining people will be slaves who live on bugs at subsistence levels.

I pick (ii). Feel free to pick whatever side you prefer.
