Besides the usual pros and cons when taking supplements, the health warnings from one site to another are often contradictory and confusing. One site says taking Glucosamine might raise eye pressure, another says it's good for eye health. I don't have any eye issues, but what to believe?

Because I developed stomach issues taking all the supplements I used to take, I cut back, but there is one supplement I rely upon to reduce inflammation and pain relief, and that is turmeric. I take it three times a day and find that it really helps with joint pain. Not saying glucosamine wouldn't do the same, but I'm going to stick with my routine and try to get the vitamins and minerals I need through diet. Besides turmeric, I take a folate tab and a B6 tab every other day, as well as zinc and a collagen tab a couple of times a week. I eat small amounts of fruits and a lot of seafood and veggies. I take the B6 because I eat a very limited amount of grains.

This routine is working very well for me, and the blood work results from my annual physical earlier this month were amazing for a person my age.

Thanks for the information.
