The point is, Wharfie, that you shouldn't underestimate Trump's political gamble.

Obstructionism is all too successful in American politics. Ask Merrick Garland if you have any doubts.

Trump is banking on the notion that the American public trusts him with the border over Brandon.

He's an arrogant asshole, of course, but he could quite possibly succeed here.

And the election to fill George Santos' seat has nothing to do with this.
