I think that is the first time I have genuinely been called an expert in anything.

I am from and for the UK. It's a tough corner to play from at times.

and do follow Chris Packham on "X". I don't agree with his view on "net zero", in fact believe he is entirely wrong on that point. I believe he is genuine though, and sympathetic to his views and troubles.
If we both had the same outlook, Britain (imho) would be in a much better place.
But you often cant rush these things, I wind up some people, sure, but hopefully not in a negative way.
I used to work in a company that had a real hot shot in it. His first name was Sheldon. I don't know if you have ever watched the TV show "The big bang theory" but the "Sheldon" in that series is a watered down version of the guy I knew. Jim Parsons plays the role well. I was a bit "daja vued" when I first saw the show and spooked when the guys name turned out to be "Sheldon".
There are coincidences, not everything is a conspiracy, life can be strange.
Fact is we are all wrong at times. The work force had to suffer Sheldon, but he really was a significant asset to the company. Often he was hauled off the HR and given courses in how to speak to people,be nice, etc.
He would come out from these HR courses trotting out the new phrases he learned, with barely hidden contempt in the emphasis he put on the words.
A few times Sheldon wasn't just wrong, he was wrong wrong. It wasn't easy to change his mind on a matter.
The guy was a scream as far as I was concerned, and I didn't mind him at all. Well, maybe he was a bit tiresome at times, but overall the projects were a big success and everyone made lots of money. Work was a fun place and I looked forward to it every day.
Being right is OK to deal with. Finding out your are completely wrong in an important matter takes inner strength and courage. True humbleness can come from some unexpected places at times.
Anyway, back to Chris Packham. Here he is on his latest mission to do a good deed.
