It is obvious there some very confused people out there, who either don't know what they are doing or have no will power. Second rate products like the Storm, Mustek, Plustek, Umax, etc. appeal to rose eyed romantics (nothing wrong with being romantic, I love it, if you love something substantial, that is) who dream of days of wine and roses (I know we nutty V romantics can be included in that group, too) when their company's products are world conquerers and their stock zooms to the angelic levels of the firmanent, wafted along by chubby cherubs. Well, the mere fact that Storm's stock isn't $.10, and that it is consistently higher than V's, is so remarkable a situation, I doubt if anyone on earth, including this year's graduating MBAs from Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Harvard all thrown together with their professors can explain it. However, I do know one thing I'm sure these grads know, and that is, numbers are the ONLY substantial, lasting measure of value, be it, in the stock market, rocketry, predicting the weather, or electing a president. The force of romantic Pythagoras' legacy, that numbers are ultimate reality itself, still holds true today. We investors are simply predicting numbers to determine value. As I said in my very first post, when appearance of value and numerical value are diverged, sooner or later, there is a catch up, until there is equilibrium (per Soros). Storm is grossly overvalued, and a bunch of b.s. from its say anything CEO, is not going to change that reality ever. If it were undervalued I'd own it. V is grossly undervalued if one simply looks at the NUMBERS and extrapolates them into a reasonable prediction of future performance. If numbers are gods in an economic sense, then V is overripe for an ascension and resurrection. Smart and his team should be sainted for their second coming of V. They will announce a totally original software that will be sort of an universal interface that can be used not just for scanners, but all hardware, at a securities conf within the next 11 days. There will be a new hardware device announced later, followed by Deluxe 6.0 in June. However, by then, by April, the number gods will bless V, with 20% market share, and much moola and much profit. Right now, the Gods Must Be Crazy, but eventually they come to their senses, and true equilibrium sets in. Then, ahhhhh. Sellers of V are confused and fooled by alleged competitors, like Storm, HP, Mustek. This is when the men are separated from the boys; now is the time to buy and have the will to hold, until this upside down situation is balanced out.
