What am I missing? I hold a 20% allocation in KALV and earlier in the week they announced what I thought was excellent Phase III results--the stock opened that day down $2.00, but clawed its way back to being even. Then turned down for the day. I hold a real position in the stock, but now they announced a secondary offering (which I understand will happen on the trial results.) But this is what I don't understand--the secondary was priced well above the closing cost. And now in the premarket this morning the stock is trading up more than $2.00. I'm not complaining---but can't remember doing a secondary with the offering placed above the going trading price.
