Valueman, thanks for a very informative post. Cutting transponder costs by increasing their carrying capacity/transponder is just one of the very exciting things going on new satellite technology. As a broadbased statement, I think it is imperative that total satellite communication costs keep rocketing down the curve and my interest in VSAT is that the technologies they supply seem to squarely in the middle of that evolution. With reference to this specific post, is VSAT doing anything in the compression area? Put another way, is this post at all VSAT related? Thanks, Mike Doyle
