Fascism in the USA, and other extremist movements occur because the country is run badly. It's the frustration of the people boiling over. Fascism in Germany at the end of WW2 has been supposedly been studied. A country does not go from being utterly bankrupt at the end of WW1 to being covered in autobahns and the strongest military might in the world in a few short decades without a lot of outside help. The super rich of the time were a big source of that help. I have some good posts on the subject. I will dig them up -g-
