GZ is American far as I know. I am British and ex Left Wing. For me the traditional Left Wing Party does not exist anymore. Tony Benn was the last guy who was any good. Have a peep who he is talking to here. "Socialism" has shown an ugly corrupt aspect over the last few decades. Not impressed. Having learned more, I can see the ugly corruptness goes back awhile. Nobody is perfect, but there are limits, and yes we can do better. Live and Learn I guess.
