Rod, I actually used a Zip drive with my E-Mu sampler a couple of months ago, and guess what? The damn thing clicked repeatedly (actually, more like a "clunk" or "thunk") and I panicked, thinking that all of my valuable work was gone. We switched out Zip drives, and was able to get the info off the disc. But any thought of buying a Zip drive went right out the window with my first hand knowledge that Zip is unreliable.

It is my opinion that many here are hiding their own personal experiences with this Click of Death problem, or are in denial.
