I wouldn't be surprised if people on this thread could put together a better list than the one being circulated. Take a couple conservatives, a couple libs, and a couple who are generally down the middle - and put together SI's Presidential Ranking.
That's actually a good idea, though I prefer only to rank presidents starting from, say, JFK.

So here's my ranking:

JFK
Reagan
Nixon*
Bush Sr.
Bush Jr.
Clinton
Obama
Trump*
LBJ
Carter
Brandon

Nixon is up there because he was a very effective president with good domestic and foreign policies. The asterisk is because I'm ignoring Watergate.

Trump also has an asterisk because I'm ignoring everything that happened after January 6th. If I counted that insurrection, Trump would be dead last.
