Sorry but as an employee of CBS or any other journalistic medium you sign a contract with that organization as a condition of employment.

There are rules of conduct.

All IP as a result of her work there is the property of the employer.

Having worked at PBS for a number of years that "boilerplate" is pretty common.

You would have to go thru the editor in charge or management to publish a story.

That's what Woodward and Bernstein had to deal with during Watergate with Katherine Graham at The Washington Post.

Ultimately any work she did is the property of the employer.

She didn't have ultimate freedom.

You are confusing freedom of speech and freedom of the employee.
