3Com's PalmPilot Localized For Russian Marketplace
Newsbyte News Network - Tue, Feb 17 1998

MOSCOW, RUSSIA, 1998 FEB 17 (NB) -- By InfoArt. Paragon Software
has announced it has completed the localization of the 3Com
{NASDAQ:COMS} PalmPilot personal digital assistant (PDA) for the
Russian marketplace.

Newsbytes notes that the then 3Com/US Robotics Palm Pilot was
introduced into the Russian marketplace at the end of October last
year, since when it has been targeted at business users, using the
Piloc[sic, Monty Python term] Russian language software.

Effective immediately, Paragon is bundling Piloc for PalmPilot in
Russia free of charge. According to company officials, Piloc for
PalmPilot Desktop 2 allows Russian PC users to synchronize data
between their desktop machines and the Pilot.

Newsbytes understands that MacCenter and RRC will be distributing
the Piloc software for the PalmPilot. CHS, meanwhile, will be
distributing the software in Estonia.
