Yep,

It comes down to just a couple simple energy balances.

Incoming vs outgoing energy.

More energy is being retained due changes in the atmospheric greenhouse gasses accumulating in the atmosphere.

Something NASA's satellite train measures with very, very high accuracy today.

Methane, CO2 and NOX increasing....

In the atmosphere along with other manmade gasses.

And the oceans of the world are storing most of that retained energy.

And tides have nothing to do with it.
