BamaReb--Options have the damned time limit in them.
If you are holding puts the stock has to move and move in the direction you want within the time limit or you eat them. In addition the time limit is wasting value from them. Options are tricky IMHO.
A short or pure long play ties up more assets, exposes you to more risk, and you need an uptick and to borrow shares for a short. There is something to say for each side.
