Patrick,

Im working with the 10 DAY MA on just the DOW, and the average time to return to the 10 DMA is 6-8 days. The 10 DMA is now at 8250 about. Today was the 11th day, and the only time it took this long within 2 years was last summer with the top hitting on 6/20/97. The next day, which was a Monday, the DOW dropped 190 points.

Just based on averages, the DOW is overextended for the short-term and whether it does drop, well who really knows.
