AS an appraiser I went through piles of cameras, Polaroid and 35 mm point and shoot and SLR. A life of a camera was about 2 years as they get dropped all the time when taking photos under vehicles. I wore wrist strap to hang on to my Nikon 601. I went through 3 of those due to drops. tax wright off.
