Well yeah, if you only count those who already purchased Teslas, you're only counting those who got over the range anxiety.

Meanwhile, there are reasons why EV sales aren't meeting expectations, and why many EV manufacturers are scaling back their plans.

And there are reasons why Toyota is looking pretty darn smart by sticking with hybrids.

As for me, I essentially reduced by gas consumption by 85% (75 percentage points because of the portion I spend driving in all-electric mode, 10 percentage points because even in hybrid mode, I still get double the MPG of my other cars.)

But no, that's not enough for the environ-mentalists, a.k.a. the postmodern Puritans led by sAiNt gReTa tHe tHeOlOgIaN.
