You have already paid for the physically handicapped and the blind. Why stop now?
Because trans people aren't suffering from physical handicaps.

Or blindness.

Or cancer.

Instead, they're "suffering" from the choices they've made.

P.S. - Getting rid of sex or gender just to cater to transsexuals makes about as much sense as cutting off your own legs just to cater to paraplegics.
