The American electorate assigns blame all the time. They blamed Trump in 2020 for shutting down the economy.

Now they are blaming Biden for the ensuing inflation.

Biden is not helping his cause by telling the average American that the economy is wonderful and inflation is coming down.

But the damage has already been done and we are seeing that in the polls so far.

After all is said and done, "Are Americans better off now than they were 4 years ago?"

Now, of course, I am not referring to those who own Bitcoin, the magnificent 7, the major indices or are very good swing traders.

I think most Americans understand that Trump represents a threat to the US Constitution, but money matters will always take precedence for the average American.

The average American is taking on many jobs in order to feed his family. Food inflation is a lot higher than the 4% annual rise in hourly wages.

I think the Democrats are in denial. You cannot be telling people that things are wonderful, economically speaking when they aren't.

Let's talk tactics. What do the Dems have to do to beat Trump in November?

My read is that they have to explain to the American electorate that the origin of inflation began with Trump shutting down the economy in 2020. Then with all the stimulus checks, there was to much money chasing to few goods.

I'm not sure if this will work for the Dems , but it is at least better than telling people that everything is wonderful.
