I have an interesting condition. My LAD is 100% occluded but I have grown collateral arteries that still provide blood flow to the ventricle. My cardiologist tested several ways, my stress test had an inversion at about 140 BPM, my CT scan showed blockage and on Friday my heart catheterization confirmed 100% blockage. The surgeon was unprepared to stent a 100% blockage. I am 65 with a low VO2 max of 33. When I do aerobic workouts my heart hurts.

I am very happy that I grew these alternate arteries but wonder why? I try to eat a low carb diet and do some weight lifting. I did maybe 10 sessions of HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy 3 years ago. I mean given the choice I would imagine everyone would prefer to grow alternate arteries to stenting or CABG.

I would credit Bill for my protocol, but I don't know what it was.
