It seems that the father out you go, the moves become increasingly muted. so it can't form a pattern. I don't know if this is due to the seasonality or is a constant.

If patterns only form in the front month and then transfer into the next month. This makes the trade window very narrow. BOIL will start rolling into May on the 6th business day of March taking 5 days to completely start tracking the May contract. Which makes it even more difficult to trade the ETF's.
