Wade, all I said was that the HERC system included addressing the MIC situation. What their chemistry does is dissolve the scale and minerals and tubers in a non-corrosive manner (with their patented chemistry) then the cleaning methodology continues on with additional treatment to address the MIC situation (non-patented chemistry). Yes, the older traditional methods are cheap, but ineffective. As for the patent number or numbers, I will be out of town tomorrow but will be in contact with HERC on another matter later in the week. I will see if I can get that number or numbers for you. If so, I will post them here. Jim J
