I really don't need to defend any company except my own. All I do is post the facts not theories or rumors.
The facts are the Redux problems were reported in individual case reports not Phase IV clinical studies as you incorrectly reported.
Do you really think that a WSJ reporter has more insight into FDA's action than the FDA? Moreover, there is absolutely no connection between Redux and Viagra as indicated in your posts. Zero...nada.

If you believe the general market is headed south, your VVUS portfolio is also in trouble. Over the last two years, there is a positive correlation between the Dow Jones and VVUS (r=+.31). Moreover, PFE and VVUS are actually positively correlated (r=+.21). If Big Pharma is going down, VVUS will go down in "lock step".

Unlike yourself, I don't find it necessary to spend time contacting experts who don't have the appropriate data and provide the same answer "I don't know, it's very complex". I'll wait until the data is released following the FDA review to formulate my own "accounting". .....By that time , PFE will probably be over 100.

Sounds like you are suffering from specialty envy. You seem to be already discounting Viagra studies by those" know nothing surgeons". These are same experts that you refer to in your MUSE clinical references.
Finally, it is hard to believe that someone who is so distrustful of an industry, its government regulators and its experts would be willing to "gamble" his hard earned money as an investment.The last time I checked VVUS is a pharmaceutical company.
Unlike yourself, I respect the pharmaceutical industry. That's why I invest in it... not gamble in it. It's not perfect..but it certainly does not deserve the abuse that you throw at it. For every Redux, there are 100 drugs made available that improve the quality of life, eliminate disease, reduce pain and extend life. SSRIs, protease inhibitors, statins, and MUSE to name just a few.
And despite "your pending research", I believe 1998 will be a breakthrough year for the PDE-V inhibitors. If you don't believe my biased viewpoint, I suggest you look at the historical "tape" since September 29, 1997.
Ball is in your court. I can't wait to see which family you are going to attack..the PDEs or my two psychiatrist sisters!
